About Sally Ride Fellowship

At the Sally Ride Fellowship, we seek to help young LGBTQ+ individuals in the space industry excel and not have to hide who they are for fear of discrimination. Underrepresentation of LGBTQ+ individuals in aerospace has been a long standing problem that individuals and companies alike have now been seeking to remedy. 

The Sally Ride Fellowship Program is our way of connecting young LGBTQ+ people in the space community with competitive internships and professional mentoring.  There is still a long way to go to create a fully equitable space community, but this fellowship will help push that movement forward one cohort at a time. 

We work with companies and mentors across the aerospace industry to create a welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ people. The first steps to a great future career start with a competitive internship and professional mentor, which wouldn't be possible without our valued partnerships.
